The iconic incubator is bringing fresh talent to London Fashion Week
Over the course of 20 years, Fashion East has seen huge names like Kim Jones, Jonathan Anderson, Martine Rose and Grace Wales Bonner come through its doors, and now Lulu Kennedy’s fashion incubator has just announced a fresh new set of talent for its next show. During September’s London Fashion Week, Fashion East will be upping its support to five designers from last season’s three, with the help of its long-standing partnership with Nike, heading to its usual spot in the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.
After sending a bunch of himbos in STEM down the runway last season, Olly Shinder will return to the catwalk for SS25, alongside newcomers LOUTRE and Nuba. Founded by designer Pia Schiele, LOUTRE’s laid back, gritty style is heavily inspired by skate culture, while the menswear brand Nuba is Cameron Williams and Jebi Labembika’s ode to both south London and their African and Caribbean roots. Elsewhere, SOS SKYN returns with its “lo-fi couture” art-infused ready-to-wear, and new face Kitty Shukman arrives with her futuristic take on footwear.

BALENCIAGA’S ACTRESS ROUNDTABLE
Following on from its Rodeo Bag campaign earlier this year, Balenciaga is continuing the tradition of famous women sitting down not doing much at all with its new Bel Air Bag campaign. VERSACE BAGS NINGNING
Elsewhere, Versace has tapped NINGNING of the K-pop group aespa for its own Kleo bag campaign. The label’s global ambassador is shot by photographer Mok Jung Wook in a series of intimate portraits that also feature pieces from the brand’s AW24 offering. To check out the full collection, head here.

JIMMY CHOOSES WINONA
Winona Ryder is back in her fashion bag after Jimmy Choo bagged her for its latest campaign. Lensed by Ezra Petronio, the new images are inspired by the pared-back 90s style, of which Ryder was a figurehead. “Winona is iconic in her style and her acting,” said creative director Sandra Choi. “Her films and her aesthetic are symbolic of the decade that shaped Jimmy Choo’s early years as a brand.” To discover the rest of the AW24 collection, head here.
