Look At It This Way (#LAITW)

If you’re like me, and most everyone else, you tend to get your news/information from sources you’ve come to trust or are at least comfortable with for whatever reason. Let’s play a game in intellectual honesty. We’ll each throw out a handful or less of the sources we each trust (TV, radio, print, blogs, books, whatever). Then we all agree to get at least 10% of our weekly news, politics, commentary, etc. from “the other guys’ sources.” Being right of center, I’ll offer these: Tucker Carlson Tonight (Fox News TV), anything from Prageru.com (5-minute videos and fireside chats), and RedState.com or DailyWire.com for reading. Use the comment section below to add your favorite sources (5 or less). Include how you lean politically then give us your best sources. If we get much action here, I’ll compile a summary and post that. Let us know also how it goes listening in on the other guys. Have fun!

Today marks the one-year anniversary of “two weeks to flatten the curve.”

This is fascinating about the notion that COVID knocked out the regular flu season and how that might have happened, and what we might learn from that. I have no idea what this “Tribe” is he mentions at the end, but I’ll go see. BTW, when he says SARS-COV-2, he’s referring to what we all just call COVID. Video here.

We have far too many otherwise very fine people enabling the evil of the left. As Prager noted recently, “if only evil people did evil, we’d be OK.”

I don’t want to be lumped in with the crappy people in my group any more than you want to be lumped in with the crappy people in your group. How about we just look at individual merit?

Prager’s most recent Fireside Chat is fascinating. His guest is Craig Biddle of The Objective Standard Institute. He’s an Ayn Rand atheist which makes for an enlightening conversation with Prager. Warning, this is a long one, 80 minutes. Here.

We had a chance 40 years ago to set ourselves up with 400 years of electricity supply with nuclear energy. But the so-called environmentalists put the kibosh on it.

This was my reaction to stories about the recent “Great Texas Freeze” (my name for it) where reliance on wind/solar proved not so helpful.
